After over 25 years of leading exciting hospitality careers for leading hotels and resorts across the globe, Birgit and Slobo Radin chose a new path of fulfillment. They conducted an extensive search around the nation for a special Inn into which they could pour their passion for extraordinary service and hospitality.
Originally from Germany, Birgit and Slobo share a life-long love of travel, gourmet cuisine and meeting people from different cultures. Having trained under the exacting methods of European schools and perfecting their individual skills in professional assignments across three continents, Birgit and Slobo now proudly call this lovely Inn in the heart of the Midwest “home.”
While Birgit focuses her energy and talents on leading exceptional guest services and hotel management, Slobo shines in food and beverage conceptualization and operations. Together, they are dedicated to ensuring The Goldmoor Inn is without a doubt the best choice for guests seeking an unforgettable experience and magical getaway.

Joshua Roberts has been selected to lead the culinary operations for the Goldmoor Inn, an 18-suite luxury B&B in Galena featuring a sophisticated restaurant and private dining venues serving up to 150 guests. He has joined the Goldmoor Inn after most recently serving as executive chef for McCormick & Schmick’s in Oakbrook, Illinois advancing through a career that has taken him from his home state of Indiana to Texas before returning to the Midwest.
